Rubbing Shoulders With Bob Proctor

Last night in Sydney, I attended my first live presentation by Bob Proctor and it was truly amazing. Bob is so right when he says that while he is about to turn 73 years of age, he has more energy than most 23 year olds. He has a unique and commanding presence when he is on stage and his presentation was informative, powerful as well as entertaining.

I was fortunate that I got a front row seat and also took my The Science of Getting Rich briefcase with me. Bob Proctor asked me if he could show the briefcase to the audience and also gave me a free promo by saying that if anyone wanted to know more about The Science of Getting Rich program, then they should ask me after the presentation was over. It was amazing the number of people who was interested in knowing more about The Science of Getting Rich program and the business opportunity that came with it. I also took the opportunity to talk about my book, "Hoops and Freedom", to people because Gerry Robert's presentation was focused on how to write a book.

The most exciting part of the night was when I had the opportunity to have a quick chat with Bob and also took a photo with him as I was holding The Science of Getting Rich briefcase. I mentioned to him that I was interested in doing more of his training programs and he was impressed with my enthusiasm and energy.

Meeting Bob Proctor in Sydney

It is always exciting when you get the opportunity to meet one of the people you admire and tonight (Tuesday night, Sydney time), I will see Bob Proctor in person for the first time. Having read his book, "You Were Born Rich" (which by the way, is available as a free download at www.bobproctor.com), and listened to his audio programs, I have always admired the way he can take a concept that is complex and explain in such simple terms that anyone can understand.

Tonight he will be presenting with Gerry Robert and it will be no surprise if they speak about The Science of Getting Rich Program, which has to be one of the most powerful programs in personal development in the market today. Combined with its generous affiliate program, it's no surprise that so many people are enjoying the benefits of being part of The Science of Getting Rich Program.

By the way, I will be taking my SGR briefcase with me to the presentation because I know a lot of people will be interested in finding out what the program is all about. For more details about The Science of Getting Rich Program, please click here.

Going For and Stay Committed To What Is True

It is amazing what the universe will provide you when you are on the vibration of what is true for you. I recently was contemplating whether to take a few days out of my schedule and travel to Fiji to thank my family members who had looked after me when I travelled there in September 2006 to finish my first book, "Hoops and Freedom".

When I had meditated upon this upon, I received that I should go because it was important that I meet a friend who I had spoken to on numerous occasions while she was in Sydney but did not get a chance to meet due to various reasons made up by both of us. It would have been really easy to say that this was not a good time and that I would go some other time. But having developed my intuition to the level where I trust it 100%, I decided to book my flights and go to Fiji. The great thing was that I always get free accommodations and free food when I travel to Fiji and this time, I was able to us my frequent flyer points and get a very cheap return flight.

The trip was very satisfying and rewarding as I got to meet the girl I had wanted to meet for a number of months and we had a really good time and a lot of fun. The whole trip was like a wonderful dream and when I returned back to Sydney, I regarded it as one of the most important decisions I had made in recent years. The girl I met was the type of person I had always wanted in a partner in terms of connection, companionship, trust, love and honestly. This friendship will build into so much more and none of this would have been possible had I not trusted my intuition and gone for what was true. This experience is a further reference that when we access our intuitive factor, we become one with everything and it is really easy to receive the truth of what we need to know.

My book, "Hoops and Freedom", is a self-improvement and transformational story about the journey a person goes through to understand what true freedom really means. It discusses universal success principles and when they are applied, will lead a person to live the life they truly want and desire. Click here for all the details.

What Is Love? by basketball legend, Michael Jordan

It is no surprise that I'm a huge basketball fan and have been a Michael Jordan fan since my teenage years. The game of basketball inspired me to write my first self-improvement book, "Hoops and Freedom", in the form of a basketball-related fiction story. When I recently saw this video, it once again reminded me as to why I love the game of basketball. Now that the NBA basketball season is over, fans can get a copy of my book, "Hoops and Freedom", and find out how the game of basketball is a metaphor for life.

The Funny Side of the movie The Secret

Here's a message from Joe Vitale, who was featured in the movie, The Secret, regarding a current TV show.

Dear friend,

I love the television show Boston Legal. In a recent episode actor William Shatner, playing egomaniac attorney Denny Crain, sits in a chair, closes his eyes, and tries to attract actress Raquel Welch.

I loved seeing the movie The Secret and The Law of Attraction getting spoofed on national TV. After all, I'm in the movie and love a good laugh, too. Spoofs can be fun.

And that's what the episode was: a spoof.

At the end of the show Shatner's character attracts one of the greatest female comedians of all time: Phyllis Diller.

Shatner is shattered.

He thinks "The Secret" didn't work.

He mumbles, "I'm going to sue those people."

What did Shatner's character do wrong?

Why didn't he attract what he said he wanted?

Here's my take on it:

1. Shatner's character sits and concentrates, finger to forehead, and looks like he has a headache. There's no joy on his face. The Law of Attraction works when you feel the end result of what you want, not just think about it. Denny Crain isn't even close.

2. Shatner's character takes no action at all. None.
Considering the character he plays, surely he could have picked up the phone and called around. Surely someone in his power circle would be able to connect him to Welch. I could get to Welch if I really wanted to. As you may recall, I'm the guy in the movie The Secret who says, "The Universe likes speed. Take ACTION."

3. Shatner's character attracts what he thinks he doesn't want:
Phyllis Diller. This is SO relevant. You always attract what you un-consciously think is right for you. In the TV show, Diller is actually an old flame. She represents sex to him, or at least did at one time. This is so Freudian. In order to get what you want, you have to get clear inside of the old programs. Until you do, you won't get what you say you want, you'll get what you unconsciously want.

Finally, Shatner's mumble at the end about suing "those people"
is also revealing.

It shows Shatner's character is still a victim, powerless to the world unless he resorts to the one thing he can trust: the legal system.

Again, I loved the episode on Boston Legal.

Just remember it was a spoof.

If you want to use The Secret to attract what you want, focus on your intention, add feeling, take action and enjoy the process.

And then maybe you can attract Raquel Welch.

Dream Big!

Dr. Joe

The Law of Attraction is such a powerful universal law and there is now a program available that is very comprehensive, which explains everything you need to know about the Law of Attraction. It is called The Science of Getting Rich Seminar and is based on the book by Wallace D. Wattles called "The Science of Getting Rich". For all the details, click here.

The Courage To Succeed - Part 2

There are two parts of courage that lead to success. The first part is the willingness to begin, to act in faith, to step out boldly in the direction of your goals with no guarantee of success. The second part of courage is the willingness to endure, to persist, to refuse to give up, and to keep on working harder than anyone else.

Most people talk themselves out of even going for their dream. And most of the ones who make the attempt quit as soon as the going get tough.
It's so sad. Because everyone has the ability to make their dreams come true. It's sad that so few people have the willingness to do what it takes.

That's why as a boy I admired the Olympians.
That's why we root for the underdog. That's why we love movies like Rocky and Rudy. Because all of us have felt like the underdog at one time or another. Because seeing the underdog win gives us hope that we can win too.

That's why we admire people like speed skater Dan Jansen.

Once you get started on the road to making your dreams a reality, you must make the decision to never quit. The decision to never give up gives you a huge advantage. The person who is most determined usually wins. Heart will beat talent every time. A study on goals and perseverance found that 95% of the goals that people set are ultimately achieved, as long as the person didn't give up.

Ninety five percent! That's almost a guarantee.
A guarantee that if you refuse to quit you will eventually win. The main reason people fail is not because of lack of ability or opportunities.
They fail because they lack the inner strength to persist in the face of obstacles and difficulties.
That's why trying something almost always leads to failure. By definition, trying something means you will quit if you are not successful.

Don't worry about failing. Failing is how you learn.
You can fail over and over again, but all it takes is one big success to wipe out all your previous failures. Just like Dan Jansen in the Lillehammer Olympics. The only time you can't afford to fail is the last time you try.

You need to be bold. Once you have made the decision to never quit, it's easy to be bold. Remember, if you don't quit you're almost guaranteed to succeed.
So just assume that success is inevitable. It's only a matter of time. Act as if your ultimate success is guaranteed. No matter how bad it is or how bad it gets, learn from your failures and keep moving on.

Your goal should be to reach the point where you believe in yourself so much that nothing can stop you or hold you back for very long. You want to become unbeatable. This is where persistence is so important. The more you persist, the more you will believe in yourself. And the more you believe in yourself, the more you persist. Your persistence is a measure of how much you believe in yourself and how much you believe in your ability to succeed.

If you act as if you are guaranteed to succeed, your belief will grow. Because emotion follows motion. What you do determines how we will feel.
Act in spite of your fears and commit to not quit, and I'll promise you that the winner inside you will burst forth to propel you to victory.

When you develop your courage and perseverance, you will experience life in ways you never thought were possible. The more you practice courage and perseverance, the more confident you will become.
Don't quit. Refuse to quit and you will succeed.
Dan Jansen refused to quit and look at what happened.

Dan Jansen was supposed to win gold in the Sarajevo 84 Olympics. He didn't. Disappointed, he knew he should bring home a medal in the
88 Calgary games. But only moments before the start of the race he was told his sister, Jane had died of leukemia. With this weighing on his mind, he raced poorly and walked home empty handed. Dan had another chance in Nagano 92, but his hopes were crushed again when he slipped on the ice.

The 94 Lillehammer would be his last chance.
With the world holding its breath as he raced in the 500 meters, he fell again to the horror of the crowd, and finished eighth. With only one race left in his career, the 1000, Dan Jansen was racing for his life. Incredibly he slipped on the last turn, but didn't fall. As he raced past the finish line, he read the official time. A new world record. At long last Dan Jansen's perseverance paid off. Finally he had won the Olympic Gold Medal. On his victory lap, he carried his baby daughter on his shoulders.
Her name is Jane. After his sister.

Dan's story is so inspirational. It makes us feel like we can't fail. It teaches us lessons in courage and perseverance. It has been said, "The Honor should not go to those who have not fallen; rather, all Honor should go to those who fall and rise again."
That's why we love Rocky, and Rudy, and the Olympics.

The Olympics are not really about sport. The Olympics are about the power of the human spirit. They are a place that showcases to the world a group of people that were willing to go after their dreams no matter what.

The Olympic flame represents the fire in the heart of someone who is in pursuit of their dream. At the
2002 Salt Lake City Olympics Opening Ceremonies, Mitt Romney, the CEO of the Olympic Organizing Committee faced all of the athletes and said to us, "Athletes, you are proof to the world that when you have a dream, and you pursue it, and you refuse to quit, dreams do come true. After the Olympics it is your responsibility to teach that philosophy to others.
Teach them how to make their dreams come true.
And let's make this world a better place."

So have the courage to go after your dream. Give it all you've got. Have the courage to get started and have the courage to never quit. I guarantee you, when you do, your life will become great!
