The Legacy of Wallace D. Wattles

In 1910, Wallace D. Wattles released his book called the "Science of Getting Rich" which inspired the hot movie of 2006, "The Secret". What is the big deal about "The Science of Getting Rich".

Wallace D. Wattles wrote, "The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way. Those who do things in this certain way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich. Those who do not do things in this certain way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor. It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects. Therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich."

The movie "The Secret", showed how you can have whatever you want in life and be able to create all that you desire. So why is it that money is so important?

Here's an amazing statistic. If you take 100 people and follow them from the beginning of their working career and follow their progress for the average 40-year working career until the retirement age, this is what you will most likely find:

1 person will be wealthy
4 will be financially secure
5 will be working because they have to, not because they want to
36 will be dead
54 will be broke - dependent on Government welfare or any other means to survive.

What this means is that only 5% of people will be successful financially and 95% will be unsuccessful.

The wealthy people actually understand the Law of Attraction which is the premise of Wallace D. Wattles book, "The Science of Getting Rich". Wealthy people recognize that there is abundance around us and it is up to each one of us to attract abundance into our lives.

So why is money important?

According to one of the teachers from "The Secret" and the new program called the Science of Getting Rich Seminar, Bob Proctor, "We need to make a game out of making money. There is so much good we can do with money. Without it, we are bound and shackled and our choices become limited."

With that is mind, some of the teachers from "The Secret" have created The Science of Getting Rich Seminar that is designed to show everyone how to use the Law of Attraction to work for you and be rewarded in all ways in your life.

The Power Within You

If someone asked you, who are you, what would you say?

Actually, we are all made up of the same exact thing. If someone examined you under a microscope, they'll find that you are made up of molecules. Further examination will show that these molecules are made of atoms which in turn are made of protons, neutrons, electrons, sub-protons and sub-neutrons. In simple terms, these are representations of energy.

Therefore, everything in the universe is Energy. That includes you.

You represent energy in a physical form, which is your body. So, if everything is energy, it implies that we are all connected to an all encompassing universal energy. We are like every animal, every tree and plant, every rock and even every planet. We are all pure energy.

We have one difference though. We have a conscious self or our self awareness, which allows us to determine what experiences we want to have. We can determine our reality. Whatever we think about, we tend to bring into our reality. That was the basis of Wallace D. Wattles book, "The Science of Getting Rich".

Ultimately, we are all working with one unlimited or infinite power. We are working with one law, which is the law of attraction. This simply implies that whatever are the most predominant thoughts in your mind, you will attract them into your life. This law of attraction is the cornerstone of the hit program, "The Secret". The law of attraction determines what kind of experiences you will have or in other words, you attract everything that you get in your life. You attract what you think about most.

Now, there is a brand new program called The Science of Getting Rich Seminar which goes into much more detail on how the law of attraction works and how you can use its power to get whatever you want in life.

The Secret and The Science of Getting Rich Seminar

Have you heard of the DVD called "the Secret"? Well it isn't such a secret anymore. The DVD was released in March 2006 and according to Time Magazine, the DVD has sold 500,000 units within the first 6 months. Today it sells well over 5,000 copies a day! It ranked in Amazon's Top-5 sellers during Christmas week; and a tie-in hardcover book just entered the Top 10 on the New York times bestseller list.

The amazing thing about "the Secret" is that you won't find it in your local Blockbuster or Barnes and Noble, it is selling briskly through new-age bookstores, New Thought churches like Unity and AGape and the official website at www.thesecret.tv. "It's become the biggest selling item in the 30-year history of our store," says Harmony Rose Allor, a buyer at West Hollywood's popular metaphysical bookshop, The Bodhi Tree. it is "word-of-mouth" marketing at it best.

So what is the secret to "the Secret's" success? It's is a "transformational movie", where a person's view on life and the laws of life will no longer be the same after watching this movie. In a sense, it has created the same kind of effect as "the Da Vinci Code" and the 2004 hit cult movie "What the Bleep Do We Know". The movie has created such waves that it has already been featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Larry King Live and the Ellen DeGeneres show.

At the core of the movie is a central philosophy called "the Law of Attraction". In fact, the movie itself was inspired by this very same law when the producer read a book called "the Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace D. Wattles. This books was written in 1910!

This philosophy states that we create our reality, both good and bad! The message is delivered through 24 "teachers" which include prosperity preachers, chiropractic healers, relationship gurus, life coaches and motivational speakers — into one clear, cohesive voice. The movie is a "must watch" for anyone interested in taking charge of their life and in creating the life of their dreams.

Following on the success of the Secret, 3 of the core teachers - namely Bob Proctor, Jack Canfield and Michael Beckwith have collaborated to produce a wealth building program called "the Secret Science of Getting Rich Seminar". This program is based on the book that inspired the movie and is set to make history as the fastest selling personal development program in history.

What is the Science of Getting Rich about? Well in the words of Wallace D. Wattles, "The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way. Those who do things in this certain way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich. Those who do not do things in this certain way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor. It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects. Therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich." The Secret Science of Getting Rich is all about teaching how to do things in this "certain" way to create wealth.

The success of this program is built on several rock solid foundations. These factors include: the phenomenal success of "the Secret", the timeless concepts from the Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles, the credibility of 3 of the most successful personal improvement teachers and New Thought leaders of our time, and the Internet as the distribution medium.

Teaching “The Secret” via The Science Of Getting Rich Seminar

The Science of Getting Rich is a timeless classic written in 1910 by Wallace D. Wattles. It is a bold title for a book and suggests that getting rich is a predictable outcome if one can master the principles outlined in the book.

Here is how Wallace D. Wattles puts it in his own words, "The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way. Those who do things in this certain way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich. Those who do not do things in this certain way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor. It’s a natural law that like causes always produce like effects. Therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich."

Certainly, this book is well referenced by many of the great teachers today and it is the same book that inspired Rhonda Byrne to produce that runaway success “The Secret”. Here is what Rhonda Byrne said on her introductory note to the book, "I can honestly say that, since that first night when a tattered printed manuscript found its way to me (thanks to one of my daughters), my life has never been the same. Once you read it for yourself, you will understand why". Rhonda went on to produce the movie “The Secret” and the best-selling book of the same title which has sold millions of copies worldwide.

However, learning how to do things in that "certain way" as described by Wallace D. Wattles may be more challenging for some as the book was written nearly 100 years ago. Some of the language is a little dated and much of its wisdom lost from a modern day perspective.

Fortunately, a new training seminar for the Secret Science of Getting Rich has brought the wisdom of this timeless classic back to life for modern readers. Called “The Secret Science of Getting Rich Seminar”, this program is the most comprehensive training system for mastering Wallace D. Wattles wealth creation philosophies and principles since its creation. It comprises written, audio and live seminar formats for learning, applying and mastering the Science of Getting Rich.

A unique “twist” to the program is the fact that it has an in-built vehicle for creating substantial financial wealth through its affiliate program. This is truly a unique wealth education and wealth building program designed to empower any individual with the resources to get rich. It is a program whose time has come. The program would not be possible without the original text from Wallace D. Wattles, the skills of 3 of the leading teachers of our time, the phenomenal success of “The Secret” and the Internet as a learning and distribution tool.

Using The Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction is always working. Everything that comes into your life, you’ve attracted. This is a fundamental universal law. This is what The Secret is – it is the Law of Attraction. Whatever you think about, you attract into your life. In other words, what you think about, you create. Your thoughts are things! Whether you think about good or bad things, you create them into your own reality.

So it makes sense to direct your thoughts on the things you do want rather than the things you do not want. As an example, if you think “I don't understand why bad things always happen to me?” you invariably attract bad things in your life. The Law of Attraction states that whatever you focus on, you will end up getting. Other examples include when you think "I want to get out of debt", you are attracting more debt into your life. When you think "I'm worried I will get sick", you are attracting sickness into your life!

When you understand the basis of the law of attraction, you can then start making shifts in your thoughts and what you focus on. Instead of focusing on debt, you must start focusing on having all the riches you want, instead of focusing on how much you hate your job, you can focus on owing your own business, instead of worrying about getting sick, you can focus on having excellent health.

With this basic understanding of the Law of Attraction, we can now see why acquiring money is a struggle for so many people. A common statement that people make is that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Actually, that is the Law of Attraction at play. Those with wealth and money tend to often think about what they are going to do with their money and how best to use their money and what generally happens is they attract more money. On the other hand, people who think about not having enough money in their current reality will tend to attract more of ‘not having enough money’. Currently 1% of the world’s population earns close to 96% of the world’s wealth. That in itself is an amazing statistic.

To change that statistic, three of the teachers from the movie "The Secret" have launched a program called "The Secret Science of Getting Rich Seminar". It is based on using the Law of Attraction to attract and create wealth. This powerful program is based on the principles and philosophies outlined in a book called “The Science of Getting Rich”, written in 1910 by Wallace D Wattles. This is the very same book that inspired the movie "The Secret".

The Science of Getting Rich is in the words of Wallace D. Wattles about "The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way. Those who do things in this certain way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich. Those who do not do things in this certain way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor. It is a natural law that like causes always produces like effects. Therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich."

The Secret Science of Getting Rich Seminar is all about teaching how to do things in this "certain" way to create wealth.

Recognizing Synchronicity

Have you ever closely watched a flock of birds fly? Have you noticed that they all move in harmony and change directions together instantly? And generally, there does not seem to be a leader! You never see birds flying into each other.

Why does that happen? This is something I'd like to know more about. It reminds me of one of Deepak Chopra's book I read called "Synchro Destiny", where he talks about coincidences and how to recognize miracles. To me, watching birds effortlessly fly as one is a miracle itself. There is a higher intelligence at play. The result is synchronicity and being one with the universe.

I'm sure there are numerous other miracles that are going on everyday but we probably don't give ourselves the time to recognize it. Maybe the message is to slow down and enjoy what is going around you every single moment.

Laughing At Your Own Expense

I attended a business network meeting last night, where business owners from my suburb had the opportunity to meet other local businesses and promote their business. During the evening, one of the speakers invited people from the audience to share any experience in which they had made a mistake but could laugh about it.

One of business owners, who owns a mobile automotive repair company, shared his experience where he had gone to a company to do a detailed service of a car. That particular company had a fleet of cars and they were the same make & model, and the same colour. So, he proceeded to do a full detail of a car which took him about three hours and when he was done, he wanted to drive the car and do a road test. He remembered the owner telling him that the key was in the ignition but when he went to start the car, he noticed that the key was not there. He called the owner and after having a discussion on where the key was, the owner decided to come to the car to sort it all out. On seeing which car the mechanic was waiting at, she started laughing because that was not her car! Her car was the one next to it. Unfortunately, he had to do a full service on her car and the owner of the first car received a car service absolutely free.

It is okay to laugh at your mistakes and move on. The best thing to say when you stuff up is from Homer Simpson "Doh!" Do not take yourself too seriously - we all make mistakes. It was good to be reminded that certain experiences can give us a good laugh when we reflect back on it.

The Importance Of Teamwork

I recently attended a personal development seminar with over 2000 other participants and want to share one of the many things I got from the seminar.

One of the speakers asked everyone named 'John' to come onto the stage at the front. It was quite funny as when all the Johns' were coming onto the stage, the speaker was greeting them with, "Hi John, nice to see you", "Hey John", "What's happening John?", "Johnnn!" He almost had a different greeting for every John and that got a good laugh from the crowd.

He illustrated the importance of teamwork using a football (or soccer) analogy. He selected 10 players and gave them a position on the field. He then nominated himself as the final player and gave himself the position of an attacker. He called himself David Beckham. The first instruction was that nobody could do anything except for David Beckham. So he started off from his goal line and kicked the ball to team mate. Since they were instructed to not even touch the ball, Beckham ran like a crazy person to where he had kicked the ball. He then continued passing the ball up field (to himself) and by the time he reached his opponent's goal, he was too exhausted to take a good shot at goal and consequently missed. Not a team player!

In the second part, he asked each player on the field where they would like to play and what their strengths were. Also, if a player needed help, then his teammates would come to his aid. So, they passed the ball around like a united team would and the result was the ball moved up field quicker, the players knew what their roles were and what to expect and they worked together to reach their outcome, which was to score a goal. Although there weren't any real goalposts on stage, it was pretty obvious that with the second set-up, their outcomes would eventually be reached.

So the lesson was that when in a team, there are people who are better at some things than others and it will be beneficial to allow them to carry out what they are good at provided that they are willing to do so. Also, when someone is weak in an area, then the team works together to help that teammate and do whatever it takes to get the team outcome. Teamwork is like creating synergy. It can be seen as a mastermind forum where people come together to get insights, ideas or strategies to reach their goals. Next time when you are feeling 'stuck' or things are not working out, decide which teammate you can call upon to help you get your result.

The Use Of Language

Last weekend, I was fortunate enough to attend an under 13s boys indoor soccer semi-final match in which a friend of mine had his two sons playing. Before the match, the boys were more focused on trying to convince everyone that one of their team mates (who apparently was not very good and had not participated consistently throughout the season)should not be playing. The boys tried to get their father to speak to the official and prevent the other boy from playing.

I observed with interest the language they were using. They were making comments like, "We are going to lose because he is crap" and "He always lets in easy goals". It was good to see their father telling them to remove all the negative talk from their vocabulary before the game and I also used positive words to help shift their focus. Having seen and experienced the difference language makes, I had my doubts that they would win their match. The old saying, "If you say you can or you say you can't, either way, you are right" was going through my mind. I was curious to see how the boys would perform as a team.

To my surprise, the boys managed to win 3-2 and the boy who supposedly was not very good made some critical saves when he was playing as a goalkeeper. After the game, both parents tried to say to their boys that they would not have won if the other boy had not played. They would had 4 players on their team against 5 from the opposition. During dinner, their father told them again to remove all the negative talk from their language in preparation for the grand final this weekend.

I sure hope the boys understand the importance of using the right language. Whatever you say, you are sending a message to your mind that that's what you want. And somehow, your mind will give you what you want. Never underestimate the power of words.

It Doesn't Matter

"It doesn't matter..." used to be The Rock's catch phrase when he was wrestling in the WWE. And it is such a good mantra to adopt especially when things are not going well for you.

At times, we will take action towards something we want to create and we won't get the result we expected. It will serve a person greatly to say "It doesn't matter" and then say "Next". That way, you are telling yourself that you still want the result you are going for and will do whatever it takes to reach it.

A good example that happened recently is in the American NBA, http://www.nba.com/ where one of the superstars, Lebron James, had been struggling from the free throw line. He came up with a new phrase and said that he was in 'Strugglesville'. He knew that all he had to do was keep taking those free throws and shift his focus from his apparent inability to make free throws consistently to actually making them. In other words, it didn't matter that he was missing them. That would pass by. And now, a couple of weeks later, he is out of his poor shooting form and is getting back close to his regular free throw percentage.

By saying to yourself that is doesn't matter when things don't go your way, you are giving yourself permission to make mistakes and that is okay provided you learn from each experience. Adopt that mantra and notice the difference it makes.

Ask And You Shall Receive

I don't know about other people, but I found it uncomfortable in the past to ask for something I wanted. Whenever I was in a situation where I wanted something from a person, whether that was asking questions in a workshop or seminar, or just working towards a result, all my limiting beliefs used to have the power. As a result, I used to limit myself to what I thought I could have.

Having done personal development and self improvement trainings, I have come to recognize what were the barriers that I had created which prevented me from going for what I wanted. Now, I find it quite amusing that I used to behave that way because the power has certainly shifted from my limiting beliefs to the outcome that I want.

An example of this happened last week during a community meeting I had been invited to. The person who had invited me had a trendy shoulder bag that had the company logo on it which said 'Connect to the future'. I thought that it would be nice to have a bag like that because I'm all about empowering people to connect to the visions they would like to create, so I asked the person if she had a bag like that one that she could give me. She said she would look into it and I followed up by sending her a reminder email to look for a bag. She replied a couple of days later saying that a bag had been found and it was on the way to me. YES!! That was the end result I wanted and received what I had asked for.

A similar and really powerful experience happened in early 2006. I had received an email from an entertainment company with details of concerts and music shows. I remember saying out loud to myself, "One of my life goals is to see Snoop Dogg live in concert." I very well knew that Snoop had not been in Australia for almost 8 years and I had been resigned to thinking that I would have to go to the United States to see him live. But, within a couple of weeks, I got an email to say that Snoop Dogg would be touring Australia in April 2006. That was quite amazing and I do not have to say that I attended the concert and had a great time!

Therefore it is so important to ask for what you want. Without asking, you do not give yourself permission to have what you want. Ask and you shall receive is so true!

The Discipline To Create

Having discipline and stay committed is such an important ingredient to creating the results you want. People who get the results they want consistently exhibit these two important characteristics.

On my morning walks, I usually see a few people who consistently do their morning exercises. Just by looking at these people and observing their actions, it is obvious to me that they have the ability to create anything they want because they possess these two important traits. On the hand, I see some people once every two or three weeks and by looking at them, it is apparent that they are the ones who struggle to get the results they want.

Professional athletes are great examples and role models for having the discipline to do whatever it takes to get the results they want. There are golfers who practice up to four hours per day when they are not playing a tournament. Then there are professional swimmers who do numerous laps in the pool. Some of them swim many miles before the majority of the population wakes up.

The rewards for those who stay disciplined can be great. As a personal example, I had to train myself to be disciplined when I was writing my book, 'Hoops and Freedom'.
On average, I wrote six pages per day in my writing book and when I typed it out on the computer, it ended up being two pages. Slowly but surely, the pages started to accumulate and in just over five months, I had completed my first book. That was biggest thing I learnt when I wrote my book. The power of discipline is vital if you want to be a powerful and committed creator.
